      Titanium rods and titanium alloy rods are new structural materials.       Our Titanium Round Bar is made of ASTM B348 grade 1, grade 2, and grade 5 (6al 4v) titanium, which guarantees its exceptional quality, reliability, and longevity. We provide a wide range of sizes, from small diameter bars to large diameter rods, to meet the diverse needs and requirements of different clients.

      Advantages and disadvantages of titanium rods:
      1. High strength, low density, good mechanical function, good resistance and corrosion resistance.
      2. High viscosity, difficult cutting, poor wear resistance, and complex production process.


      Production of titanium rods:

      Titanium rods are produced from sponge titanium through a series of processes. The first is the production of sponge titanium, which involves the chlorination of rutile ore, which is obtained from beach sand. Coke and chlorine are mixed with rutile to produce titanium tetrachloride, which is then reacted with magnesium in a closed system. A vacuum distillation process is used to remove magnesium and magnesium for recycling. In an electron beam furnace or a vacuum arc furnace, the sponge is melted with alloying elements such as aluminum, vanadium, tin, zirconium and molybdenum. It will produce re-castable electrodes, which can be die-cast or VAR-smelted into slabs-titanium rods are obtained by further processing of cast or forged slabs.


      Application of titanium rods:
      1. Aerospace industry: Titanium rods and sheets are commonly used in the aerospace industry. Titanium rods are also used in the frame structure of aircraft. Titanium bars are also used in the moving parts of aircraft engines and propellers.

      2. Portable computers: Manufacturers use titanium bars because of its industrial, modern, and shiny look. Apple uses titanium bars in the PowerBook laptop body. Laptop manufacturers use titanium in different processes of laptop notebook manufacturing. The laptop industry is the largest consumer of thin titanium bars.

      3. Armor: Titanium bars are very light and strong, which is why armor manufacturers use titanium bars during the manufacturing process to make armor light and easy to wear. Armor manufacturers use titanium bars in different types of applications to reduce weight and make the product more durable.

      4. Art and architecture: The strong and durable look of titanium bars makes it a popular choice for sculptures and buildings. Titanium bars and sheets are specifically used in skyscrapers. Titanium bars are used to support buildings. For example, Italy uses titanium to stabilize and support the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

      5. Industry: Titanium industrial applications are very large. The industrial manufacturing industry is the largest consumer of titanium bars. Titanium's durability, light weight, corrosion and heat resistance, and cost-effectiveness make it a top priority for industry.
